Tyne & Wear Metro operate directly from the airport terminal. Trains run from 5.45am to 11.05pm approximately every 10 to 12 minuites and the journey takes 20 minutes from the centre of Newcastle.
During the day there is a half hourly bus service between the Airport and Eldon Square in Newcastle City Centre, via bus numbers 75, 76, 77 and 79. There is also an hourly service from Blyth in Northumberland - bus number 101 -and a less frequent service from the Metro Centre in Gateshead - bus number 102.
